Q&A with Random Ties

HIgh energy, feel-good rock band Random Ties filled out a quick Q&A for us!

WHAT WAS YOUR FIRST IMPRESSION OF YOUR BANDMATES WHEN YOU MET?

Hey everyone we are Random Ties a feel-good rock band from the DMV area in the US, you have Yous [Vocals/Guitar], Ron [Bass] who adds that combination of deep groove & slap that pushes the song forward & bringing the texture to life. Jack [Drums] plays thunderously bringing that heavy-hitting power with amazing fills and breaks.

My first impression of Jack was a very generous person that likes everyone around him to have a good time & Ron a very calm person that is always under control.

WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE MEMORY PLAYING SHOWS?

I would say a touching moment for us was when a fan before a show asked us if he could come up on stage and help us sing “Week 39” dedicating to his son who was in the audience & that was very fulfilling moment.

WHAT ARTIST WOULD BE YOUR DREAM COLLABORATION?

Chevelle I just love every single album they put out and how consistent they are, I definitely have many questions to ask and pick their brains.

WHAT SONG ARE YOU MOST PROUD OF AND WHY?

The band seems to get a kick playing “Blue Water” a song written to pay homage to the city of Flint & the baseline of the song pushes it forward.

WHAT IS YOUR GO-TO GAS STATION ORDER?

Ron would definitely go for Lay’s chips & hot tea while Jack a 12 pack.

WHAT ARE SOME OF YOUR NON-MUSICAL INFLUENCES?

The spiritual Guru Dalai Lama.

WHAT ADVICE WOULD YOU GIVE TO YOUR YOUNGER SELF?

Dream big, set goals & never stand still.

WHAT ARE YOUR GOALS FOR THE YEAR?

We just finished shooting our latest single “They Don’t Care” which will be released on June 26th and is inspired by the on-going conflict in Palestine & abuse of power in Mexico.

Our songs are streaming on a wide range of platforms making it accessible to the listener to whatever platform they prefer just click on the link below and the world is your oyster
